About me
Simone 'Twigs' Kay is a mixed-media artist from Montrose, Scotland. her work draws inspiration from music, psychedelic culture, and the bold visual language of 80s and 90s pop culture. Blending painting with sculptural elements, she create vibrant, immersive pieces that celebrate colour, nostalgia, and rhythm.
Working primarily with acrylics and oils, her process goes far beyond the canvas. Paintings are fused with unexpected materials that form part of the paintings. Known for her layered and 3 dimensional works that blur the line between painting and sculpture.
Influenced by the energy of music and underground culture, each piece becomes a visual beat — capturing a moment, a character, or a mood and bringing it to life through colour, texture, and shine. The result is a playful yet immersive celebration of pop culture, sound, and psychedelic imagination.

Simone's art is powerfully cheerful, making it hard to feel down when you see her up-lifting use of colour, patterns & sculpture. In her own words "I'm creating Art that has the intention of shifting negative moods to positive feelings."

Simone (Twigs) Kay | Its Triplicated, Lives in the North East of Scotland, surrounded by wildlife and countryside. She as been creating and painting her whole life. Music & Art are her first loves. Simone describes art & music as her medicine.
